Hi,
I switch back and forth between 2 machines. I created a solution on one PC, then I exported it as a template using the default settings. The solution was originally based on an empty site template, but I have modified it and saved as a custom template.
I then sent the template to my other machine and saved it in the visual studio templates folder under C# templates as it is a C# template.
But when I open visual studio and select new project, I cannot find the template anywhere under any folder including the C# folder.
Before I tried moving this site to the new machine with a template, I have also tried moving the entire directory, and also saving it as a sln file. But for some reason when I run the solution on the source machine it works fine, when I try to open the solution file on the new pc it doesnt work at all. When I try to move the directory and run that on the new PC though it is full of bugs. That is why I have tried moving it using a template, but that is also not working as the template just doesnt show up in the list of available projects.
My real aim here is just to be able to work on the same website project from 2 different machines, and unfortunately skydrive is not an option as that is blocked by my employer. Any help anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated. I am very much a noob, the project is very simple and has only one default.cshtml page, one stylesheet and one js file.
