Rectangular selection search replace does not work in VS 2012?

I can't use search/replace in rectangular selection since I upgraded to 2012.

Once I do a block selection and then hit Ctrl-H all of the lines that contain my block are being selected, and I can't find a way to stop that behavior.

This worked fine for years in all prior versions of VS.

and here I hit Ctrl-H, you can see the secondary selection overlayed on the top of the first one:

Can I get help on this one?
