My configuration:
Windows 8 Pro 64Bit, Windows Features IIS8 with ASP.NET 4.5 activated
Visual Studio 2012 Express for Web,
Web-site project application using DefaultAppPool using .NET Framework 4.0
I created a very simple Web-site project containing a Web-form with an asp:scriptmanager containing just an asp:scriptreference to a JScript-file containing a loadPage-function with just window.status = "I'm here!";
Starting this application delivers the following error messages
"ASP.NET Ajax client-side framework failed to load." and "Sys is undefined"
The project's Web.config doesn't show any entries in connection with Ajax. This seams reasonable to me as Ajax is integral part of ASP.NET 4.5.
All solutions I have found in the Internet up to now are referring to older ASP.NET-versions.
What is wrong with my project? Please help!
