Build process stops intermittently

Hi

Been having an on going problem with this one project, I'm not sure what started it but thought I would ask to see if anyone else has encountered it and if there is a solution.

I have a VS Solution with 2 project files, if I make a change to any of the source in either of the projects, then try to run my solution, the build process starts, then intermittently it just seems to pause. the little progress bar just sits at 50ish%. I can cancel the build (From the Build menu) then run it again and it works fine, my solution runs as expected.

It doesn't matter what build configuration I use, which target cpu etc or how long I leave it.  I've left it going over night, come back in the morning, still building.  Normally it only takes 30 secs or so.  I've tried building projects individually, but it doesn't seem to show the same behavior.

Once built, everything seems fine, but it's just a little annoyance.  Anyone have any experiance tracking this sort of problem or what I need to look for?
