Our solution has many connection strings (100+) spread out among many projects. Upon opening the solution it tries to connect to all data sources (to populate the server explorer window). Unfortunately this has slowed down opening the solution considerably - on some computers 15 minutes. If I remove all connection strings the solution can open in < 1 minute. Does anybody know ofany kind of way to suppress server explorer's ability to connect to / do anything with the connectionStrings? I really don't care about losing server explorer functionality; I would love to just be able to open the solution in a timely manner [until we work out a better solution].
