I came to Visual Studio because it promises so much.
However I find the software is really daunting and difficult to manage. There doesn't seem to be a simple method of learning just the relevant bits for the stage you are at. Either you know everything or nothing works for you.
As a reasonably experienced solo developer working with a highly experienced developer (who, by the way, will not use VS as "it is too complex" I have to say I am beginning to understand his point of view.
4 days so far and I cannot understand what is going on as I work.
Too many things just happen automatically and transparently and completely out of my control. It means I am spending much more time trying to resolve problems than I am coding.
Looks like a basic editor and an un-integrated 'mandraulic' compiler is the only real answer.
