Website development in Visual Studio 2013

I have been using Expression Web 4 to create and maintain basic websites for myself and my clients. It is a very good tool for basic (static) evelopment and it makes publishing a snap but it is not longer supported and Microsoft is encouraging users to migrate to web development in Visual Studio 2013 instead. So I've downloaded and installed Visual Studio 2013 Ultimate RC.

Although I am experienced in programming with Visual Basic and C++ family of languages, I am a complete novice to Visual Studio and need some basic tutorials or guidance on how to accomplish web development and publishing to a host service in VS 2013 starting with simple "hello world" basics. In other words, to do the tasks I am familiar with in Expression Web 4. So far I've found precious little that introduces web development in this environment other than to say that it is a wonderful platform for web development. I've only found one getting started tutorial for ASP API, but it is useless because the UI in VS 2013 does not match the instructional steps in the tutorial -- not even close.  The other problem is that there is a lot of new terminology that I haven't a clue as to what it refers to.

Can someone point me to how to get started with web development in VS 2013 including an overview of the process, components and terminology as well as some basic tutorials. The "getting started" app development tutorials for VS 2013 are great and I'd like something similar for web development.
