Hi all,

When I open the Entity Data Model Wizard there is no data source showed for SQL Server Compact though I have installed all needed software.

 Following NuGet Packages are installed:

Operating System: Window 8.1 Enterprise x64

In Programs and Features are listed:

Entity Framework 6.1.0 Tools for Visual Studio 2013

12.0.30228.0

Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Express LocalDB

11.1.3000.0

Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Native Client

11.1.3000.0

Microsoft SQL Server Compact 4.0 x64 ENU

4.0.8482.1

Microsoft Visual Studio Professional 2013

12.0.21005.13

What I also discovered, that in System32 still exists SQL Server Compact dlls:

Windows>System32
sqlcecompact40.dll    4.0.8275.1    22.08.2013 13:20     Database Repair Tool
sqlceoledb40.dll    4.0.9600.1    22.08.2013 13:20     OLEDB Provider
sqlceqp40.dll        4.0.9600.1    22.08.2013 13:20    Query Processor
sqlcese40.dll        4.0.9600.1    22.08.2013 13:20    Storage Engine

Windows>SysWoW64
sqlcecompact40.dll    4.0.8275.1    22.08.2013 05:53     Database Repair Tool
sqlceoledb40.dll    4.0.9600.1    22.08.2013 05:53     OLEDB Provider
sqlceqp40.dll        4.0.9600.1    22.08.2013 05:53    Query Processor
sqlcese40.dll        4.0.9600.1    22.08.2013 05:53    Storage Engine

And these are the dll delivered with the SQL Server Compact 4.0 package:

sqlceca40.dll        4.0.8482.1    05.01.2011 20:48    Client Agent
sqlcecompact40.dll    4.0.8482.1    05.01.2011 20:48     Database Repair Tool
sqlceer40EN.dll        4.0.8482.1    05.01.2011 20:48     Native Error Strings and Resources
sqlceme40.dll        4.0.8482.1    05.01.2011 20:48    Managed Extensions
sqlceoledb40.dll    4.0.8482.1    05.01.2011 20:48     OLEDB Provider
sqlceqp40.dll        4.0.8482.1    05.01.2011 20:48    Query Processor
sqlcese40.dll        4.0.8482.1    05.01.2011 20:48    Storage Engine

Does any body has an idea, how I can install correctly Entity Framework with SQL Server CE in order to use it with ADO.NET Entity Data Model?

Best Regards

Hans Weber
