I am using VS2008 on Windows 7 64 bit. I am plagued by a persistent error dialog which pops up everytime I click on a link in the VS2008 help system. The error message is always the same:
I have searched on "An error has occurred in the script on this page" and triedevery solution that I could find, without success, including modifying the debug, script, and security settings in IE, resetting IE to defaults, resetting VS2008 to defaults, and upgrading from IE9 to IE10. I do not see any problems in IE itself, its only in MS Document Explorer which runs when you hit F1 in VS2008.
Because of our procedures and our current .Net and .net compact framework projects I cannot migrate to VS2010 yet.
I'd be very grateful for any possible solutions. My guess is they need to be specific to Visual Studio/Document Explorer because all the published remedies for this sort of scripting problem I have tried apply to IE and do not fix my problem.
