I have VS2013 Pro installed on my 64bit laptop, with Windows 8.1 installed. I tired to run a desktop application in debug mode and make program changes as I did in VS2008. I was promptly told that I needed ".64 bit .Net runtime version CLR v4.5.1 or newer'.
After loading the 'Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2 Developer Pack' I checked the registry for the version number - \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Net F ramework Setup\NDP\v4\Full. The version no is 4.5.51650.
I then restarted the machine before going back into Visual Studio, but, alas, I got the same error msg.
Any suggestions?
Many thanks, SW
PS. I doubt whether I have sent the question to the right place. My apologies.
