Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate Freezes when loading project file

Hi Everyone,

I apologize if the key thought of this question ended up in this forum. Not sure if this is the right place for this topic.

Anyway, I would like to ask why VS 2010 Ultimate freezes every now and then everytime I load a particular file, any project file. When I checked my PC performance everytime it freezes, CPU usage is just 14% and Physical Memory is at 1.40GB/1.75GB, though the memory isn't completely  used up yet. 

Is there any technical explanation for this instance like caching or what not.

So that if I will go ahead and upgrade any hardware if necessary. Also noting that there are plenty of space left in my disk space like 75% free space.
