I have seen a lot of forum posts about how to change the .NET target framework in the New Project dialog box. Most of them include an image showing the New Project dialog box with a drop down list at the top showing the available .NET target frameworks.
On my computer, that drop down list doesn't exist. There just isn't any form control there at all which would allow me to change the target framework.
I am using Visual Studio Express 2012 for Windows Desktop as my IDE. I am using Windows 8 64-bit as my operating system.
As a side note, I also have this same issue in Visual C++ 2010 Express, which is also installed on this computer.
