I want to build a project for a Linux system, so I tried to use VS2017's Linux build tools (it's my first time with them, though). When I went to main.cpp after creating a new project for it, I saw that I have an error on the line "#include <cstdio>" that says "cannot open source file "cstdio"". What do I do make this work? Thanks in advance.
I also want to know how to get a Linux system to connect to. Do I need to get a virtual machine, or is there something else I need to do or get?
Here are the first few errors in the activity log. I can't do ANYTHING with VS, including uninstalling or repairing it.
I'd rather not reboot right now because I am running a performance test that needs to be going for several more hours, but I will if I have to.

If not, is there any extension which can provide this capability? It would essentially be a capability which records every executed single stepped statement in a history buffer.

Hi,
I recently started using VS2017 for developing Python apps.
I can run the code in the IDE but when I set a break point and start debugging I see the cmd window open
showing the path to Python 3.7 and after about 15 secs the window disappears and nothing happens.
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
Any help would be appreciated.
I am using proprietary libraries that were compiled using MSV2012 in my current project. I have access to MSV2017 but not MSV2012. I have been instructed that I need MSV2012 to use these libraries but I fail to understand why this would be the case.
What is the difference between using MVS2017 with platform toolkit v110 and using MVS2012? Links to documentation and/or personal experience is much appreciated.

I have a program developed in VB.Net a specific operation in the application uses memory(arrays) to store the details. We use threading in the application.
The application was running perfectly around 15 mins in Windows 7 OS. The problem started when we have migrated into new OS i.e. Windows 10.
It takes around 3 hours to complete the same operation which looks abnormal in any kind of application.
Can any one help me out this to sort this down?

hello i have a user that create and run project from a network drive and from time to time he lose access to the network drive in visual studio
but not in Windows it`s self we can browse the network drive in explorer…
what could be the issue ?

I posted this also on Visual Studio support bulletin.
It seems to happen only on U-SQL editor.
When I edit my .usql file on VS, freeze each 2-3 sec.
The duration of unresponsive time is 1-2 sec each.
I tweaked some editor setting or environmental setting but none of the trials failed.
U-SQL editor has unique "designer" view behind each code.
I guess this might cause some kind of "sync" process and it might cause problem.
However I couldn't also find setting to disable "designer".

I'd love to post a screenshot but it says that i'm not verified.
