Hello, I am launching a POS system for retail businesses of all size (from mom and pop to wal mart). This POS system is for non food, non restaurants and non liquor industries only.
This POS system will need to integrate with peripherals such as card reader, drawer, scanners, customer side console and other hardwares.
To do this, I am looking at Microsoft Visual Studio 2013 and my choice of language is C#.
Microsoft also offers ipos kit for POS development.
This is where I am stuck. Which edition of Visual Studio 2013 is most suitable for this development. Which edition will provide integration with POS development kit? Is Professional Edition sufficient? Ohter Editions are way too expensive.
Please advise.
